An electrician working at a consumer unit in a hallway

Electrical

Rewires, priced before the walls open up.

Consumer units, rewires and first fixes. Quote the stages, keep extras as variations, and invoice without rebuilding the job in a spreadsheet.

  • Staged quotes
  • Variations
  • Job P&L

Everything an electrician needs, in one login

The price you gave on the survey is rarely the price the walls agree with. TruTrade lets you send a proper quote, then keep every extra on the job so the margin survives the first fix.

01

Quote the job in stages

First fix, second fix, board and making good. Each stage has labour, materials and a payment, and the customer sees the lot in one pack.

  • Live pricing with your rates and overhead.
  • A quote pack with VAT and a payment schedule.
  • Versions kept when the spec moves.

The customer agrees the shape of the job before you start.

02

Extras become variations, not favours

When the ceiling is worse than the survey, the change is requested in the portal and tracked on its own. It does not vanish into a text.

  • Variations and their payments sit apart from the original price.
  • The client portal is where they accept the change.
  • Projected profit updates as the job grows.

Agreed extras stay agreed.

03

A P&L on every job

Cable, accessories, labour and what you have invoiced, on one screen. You can see a rewire slipping while there is still time to do something.

  • Profit, paid invoices, outstanding and spend.
  • Materials spend against the estimate.
  • Wages on the job if you have a mate with you.

You find out during the job, not after it.

04

Invoice from the schedule

The stages you priced are the invoices you raise. Filters show what is out, what is paid, and what is late.

  • Preview and PDF before it goes.
  • Outstanding sits on your home screen.
  • The customer can see the same invoice in their portal.

You are not chasing from memory.

“The quote pack alone wins me work. Clients think I’ve got a QS on the payroll — and the margin sliders mean the number that goes out is the number I meant.”

“I used to price on the hop and hope for the best. Now I set my margin before the client’s even called back, and I know where every job stands on a Sunday night instead of finding out at the end.”

“Invoices, CIS and the client portal in one place. My admin night has basically disappeared, and clients stopped ringing me for updates because they can see it all.”
